The two of you are investigative journalists willing to take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch. You're following a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe.The investigation has lead you miles into the Arizona desert, to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.Show more. Submitted on Review title of RemodifyingAmazing horror experienceAlthough i enjoyed the setting more in the original but everything else i've enjoyed more in the second, the story, characters, gameplay. However this game is a lot more evil when it come to mechanics like some barrels to hide in have water so you have to bring your head up when marta (pickaxe lady) is around. Also the bleeding system is a neat but stressful addition as you need to find bandages if hit by a knife. This game has been really enjoyable so far and hope it continues to be.
Update: for anyone thinking about picking this up for Christmas i would 100% recommend for any horror fans. Most fun with friends.
Submitted on Review title of TonyTiradeINCREDIBLE! But.Well the reason i have given this game 5 stars is because. The amount of detail and visuals in the game are stunning! Red Barrels have done a huge amount of research The horror aspect was excellent and gave alot of tension in moments sometimes I had to pause the game have a breather before screaming and s'ting myself! I played this game with Astro gaming headphones and it made it 1000x better experience the sounds of detail and atmosphere from music is incredible. It is also easy to hide u just got to be a boss and take it slow and stealthy BUT!! During the last 2 chapters it seemed rushed alot of running gets predictable the story starts well but loses its potential the ending well its BAD no spoliers enemies are excellent and some so creepy but can easily get away when knowing where to go they clearly focused on the scares and horror than the storyline if u want to be sh't scared for £23 do it I played the 1st outlast all I can say is outlast 2 is so much better.
Submitted on Review title of mattsamuel94The Horror is you banging your head against the wallFirstly let me just say that this game is beautiful to look at, the attention to detail is stunning. The sound is wonderfully done and there are moments, particularly during the flashback school sections where you feel genuine fear. However, and this is a big however. This game will frustrate the. out of you. Unlike the first, Outlast 2 places you in vast areas for you to explore giving it a more open world feel, the game however is extremely linear and if you do not know exactly where to go when you're being chased then you will die.a lot. The enimies seem to kill you almost instantly resulting in you playing the same sequence over and over until you figure out where to go.
The hiding is pretty much useless now as enimies find you with ease, rather you'll be running around aimlessly with no clue where you're meant to be going. Outlast 2 shows glimpses of what it could have been.but ultimately all it made me want to do is play the first game again, pick it up when it's on sale.
Boss monster card creator. The Wiki seems to list all cards, but isn't really clear as to what sets they come in.I can see there was a Legendary Edition put out for kickstarter backers, but I can't tell if these cards were ever reprinted?
Submitted on Review title of UnknownAbsolute ClassicI've never played a game where it makes you so uncomfortable and anxious but when you come off it you want to play again. By far the scariest game I've ever experienced. Makes Alien Isolation look soft in my opinion.I've never played the original outlast but just downloaded it after completing this. Graphics and sound are fantastic, play in the dark and with headphones for the best effect.
Battle 2p. Despite the threats to Belikov, Elorg refused to give in and highlighted the financial advantages of their contract compared to those signed with Stein and Mirrorsoft. On November 1989, Nintendo and Atari Games began a legal battle in the courts of.
Only criticisms are that there is alot of trial and error which can dilute the horror. Submitted on Review title of Catick65Great, but not new.The game is fantastic and i feel like it is scarier than the first but when you get found you have to run because you can't hide they always guess the right spot. The story is familiar for a horror game but if you think about it the story is to make you think and there's theories about the ending.
It really made me feel tense throughout the game and i got freaked out in alot of areas and honestly that's what makes a decent horror game. The game just feels like a chase simulator at times but still enjoyed it. It doesn't really do anything new like the first game. Also one last thing the game runs amazingly, it runs at 60fps at 1080p and the graphics are also great on console. I recomend buying if you're a horror fan!
Submitted on Review title of RoownageGood and Bad review.I like how it kept with the navigation system of using your camcorder and how the main character has a voice instead of death pain noises. The way the game feels is not as it was in the first game. Because in outlast 1, the moment you start playing you are moving to a asylum which on its own is creepy.
But in outlast 2 you are in the desert and it doesn't have that same effect as it did in the first game. But the graphics are amazing but it is not just the graphics that makes a good game its the story that outlast 2 is confusing even if you collect all documents. I hope in the dlc it will help us understand. Because i love this game but i dont understand the game ive gone through it 4 times and i dont have a clue whats going on. But what i hated the most is the ending No spoils it was horrible it made me. Think that all the time i put through this was a waste.
But i still went along and played it. And finnished nightmare mode. I hope the DLC helps us all understand whats going on.
